Noodling Around Four Seasons!
Hors D'oeuvres of the Hour
Look at all these hors d'oeuvres! Bite-sized delicacies at your fingertips... Passed hors d'oeuvres are a great addition to a reception or can stand alone for a cocktail party. A pre-reception hors d'oeuvres hour will also give the wedding party and families time to take photos and give the guests a chance to nibble on something small during the wait! A cocktail & hors d'oeuvres-only event is also becoming trendy because it allows the guests to mingle, move around, and eat the entire time!
This is a Four Seasons Catering family-favorite! :) |

Before & During & After
Have you ever walked into a potential venue and think: "How could this possibly look anything like my vision?!" We wanted to show you a before & during & after look at a wedding and how you can turn any venue into the event of your dreams!
Look what a difference lighting and draping makes! They did a fantastic job and it hardly looks like the same church setting! Here are some more photos of how lighting can set the mood for the entire event:
A behind-the-look scenes at what our crew is up to right before the buffet lines start! Look at all that delicious food just waiting to be eaten! We're always impressed when our experienced servers carry those huge trays without dropping anything... and the pressure is on! The fate of hundreds of hungry guests is in their capable hands!

We also make sure to prepare our VIP guests -- i.e., the newlyweds -- their very own plates! The rule is: If you get married that day, you get to skip the buffet line! Our servers bring loaded plates of food right to the newlyweds' table. Things get so hectic; it's important to make sure that the couple of honor is able to eat in the midst of the chaos!
Venue Showcase
Choosing a venue is a big decision! At Four Seasons Catering, we have are able to offer our anxious couples a few venue & catering packages, one of which is with our affiliated partners at the DoubleTree Hotel in Norwalk!
The DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton in Norwalk
This couple chose to keep the natural, warm glow of the lighting, which we thought complemented the decorations beautifully! The golden backdrop matched the centerpieces, which were dripping with crystals and elegance!
Remember: Lighting can always be changed to match your theme! |
The Villa Del Sol in Fullerton
This courtyard in the heart of downtown Fullerton boasts landscaped grounds and Spanish-Colonial architecture. By nighttime, the European lighting creates an ambiance of dining under the stars. How much more romantic can a venue be?
So Long, Summer!
...And we're back! The wedding season is hardly slowing down, but we're looking forward to the promise of cooler weather! Four Seasons Catering has been incredibly busy, but we've managed to snag some photos to share with you!
Here are a few snapshots of our delicious finger-foods:

Those Little Details...
Over the years, we've had the pleasure of catering to and attending many spectacular weddings. We know our poor brides and grooms go to lengths to make their day memorable, so we thought it may be helpful if we compiled a list of those pesky little details which make your special day feel extra special. A few months ago, we polled our Facebook fans, friends, and clients for their answers. Here's what we came up with:
1. The small touches of love: Personalization goes a long way. Items that show off your personalities, your theme colors, and your names, do exactly that: showcase you! After all, it's your day! Throw a little extra love into matching accessories, matching colors, uniquely you centerpieces or conversation pieces, and more. We've seen a few couples have large painted cardboard letters of their initials or the word L-O-V-E. We've also seen weddings with relationship mementos scattered at each table - how sentimental!
2. A venue with a little oomph! Wherever you get married, you want it to be lovely, particularly since it will serve as the backdrop for all those wedding photos. The most interesting venues we've seen include manors, museums, and other unusual locations. But we've also seen dramatic transformations done in churches and community centers. Budgeting can also be beautiful! Adding a few extra lights and drapes can make a big difference.
3. The food: Some couples use the banquet as a chance to integrate their own cultural or favorite cuisines. We've seen half-Korean, half-Chinese banquets, along with the occasional sushi station. We've also seen candy bars, cookie bars, dessert bars, and more! At Four Seasons, it's important for us to ensure that our food reflects our clients' tastes. If you're looking for something in particular, just ask!
4. Thoughtful use of space: Everyone keeps different company, and sometimes those companies don't quite match up! When determining seating, it's important to keep in mind your guests' personalities, marital status, relationship to the bride and groom, and (yes) drinking inclinations. You'll want to carefully join groups of family and friends so that each wedding table will be full of laughs and like-minded people. However, it's also important to mix it up! A wedding is a fantastic opportunity for both sides of the families and friends to meet, eat, drink, and be merry!
5. Something to keep them on their toes: Some couples plan a choreographed dance to stun their guests with their fancy footwork. Some couples have an elegant waltz, and some couples shake things up a little. Some use it to surprise their better half! Take a look at this popular YouTube video of a surprise Justin Bieber wedding dance, courtesy of the groom and his groomsmen! The bride and the guests are sure enjoying the show!
6. A token to take with you: Recently, the trend has been all about photobooths and treat bars. We love the idea of photobooths because both the guests and the couple get to keep a photo memento of the occasion. We also love treat bars (such as candy, cookie, cupcake, and more) because the guests often get to take home a delicious favor!
Extra special weddings are a lot of hard work. Our brides and grooms know exactly how much work goes into any wedding! After so much love and labor, every wedding we attend is memorable! :)
